7.9.22 Eligible for Free School Meals?
We recognise that so many circumstances have changed since the pandemic and with the current cost of living challenges - it could be that families have had a change in income. As a result, we want to make you aware that at any time we can apply to see if you are eligible for Free School Meals.
As well as a ‘free meal’ each day it also supports families financially throughout their time in school (pupil premium), regardless of whether your circumstances then change. At present, at Ashill Primary, we provide subsidies for school trips, residential visits, breakfast club and also provide a significant subsidy towards school uniform, with the additional funding this brings into school. It also pays for additional adults in school, whether that be for pastoral or academic support.
If you feel you may be eligible, please speak to Mrs Butters and she will discuss how to apply. Alternatively, you can visit the link below:
26.8.22 NEW - After School Club letter and registration form
Following the email sent to you on 19th August, after school provision will begin on Tuesday 6th September. A letter with further information can be found below. If you think your child is likely to attend, please fill in the registration form attached to the letter. Payment for breakfast club will be via School Money or via the office but this will be set up in early September.
Please note that the following form is simply a 'registration form' - please make any bookings via email (office@ashill.norfolk.sch.uk), telephone (01760 440403) or in person via the school office.
REMINDER - regarding two vulnerable children in our school
This is a gentle reminder that in our school we have two children with medical vulnerabilities and it's important that we make you aware of these. Although this is relevant to all parents, it is particularly important to those in Hedgehog Class.
Firstly, please see the letter below regarding the viruses such as chicken pox, measles and shingles. We have one pupil who is currently receiving treatment for cancer and therefore has a compromised immune system at present Please read the 'viruses' letter, as it contains very important information.
Secondly, we have a pupil with a severe allergy to nuts and we therefore took the decision two years ago to become a 'nut-free school'. Please read the letter below to find out what is and isn't allowed regarding lunches and snacks in school.
We thank you for your cooperation and for keeping our children safe.
