PE lessons are on Mondays, please make sure your child comes properly equipped. When the weather is good, PE will outside some of the time so please make sure children have suitable trainers and tracksuit bottoms.

Please send a water bottle into school for your child to use in class. We only allow the children water to drink in class but you can put a fruit drink in their pack lunch if you wish.

Please remember to name your child's PE kit and school uniform - it makes it so much easier to return if lost.

Now it the weather is getting warmer, please make sure your child has a sun hat and apply sun cream before they come to school. We still go out to play when it is raining, so make sure your child has a suitable coat in school. Due to the building work, we will be on the field for playtimes. Make sure your child has a change of shoes for wet days.

Reading at Home

As you know, reading is life skill all children need to master. In order for your child to continue to make good progress in this area please try to read with them as many times a week as you can. A huge thank you to those of you who already regularly hear your children read at home.

We are trying to encourage the children to read more with the use of our new reading reward scheme "Reading Stars". Each day your child reads at home they will be given a green housepoint token to add to their house tally. When they reach a certain number of reads throughout the year they will receive a coloured star pin badge. The final reward is an invite for a special trip at the end of term.  We are really hoping this motivates the children to read more at home!

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely half term break. Please explore our class page and find out more about our topic for this term and the exciting topics we will be exploring next. We will be sharing news and photos throughout the year in the school newsletter.

Thank you
