Academic Achievements

Statutory Testing

For the purposes of assessment, subjects within the National Curriculum have levels against which progress is measured. These levels range from ‘Working towards Level 1 (W)’ through to Level 8. Most children should attain Level 2 by the end of KS1, and level 4 by the end of KS2.

At the end of Key Stages 1 & 2, children are assessed by a combination of teacher assessment, and Statutory Attainment Tests (SATs) in English, mathematics and science. The results of this school’s, and the national averages are summarised in the tables on the following pages.

The links below are to the official DfES website on School Performance. The site is normally updated around December/January of each year. So, for example, 2006 results will be available from January 2007.
